Lamaleach Park is spacious with plenty of recreational areas and a picturesque woodland with a stream, park benches and designated bird watching areas. Lamaleach Park is a long-standing residential park found in the peaceful province of Freckleton, Lancashire.
It’s a quiet estate, not too far from the village of Freckleton. Lamaleach Park is easily accessed by the A584 via Preston, or the M55. The park is celebrated for its open areas, the nearby woodland areas are frequented by residents for strolls, bird-watching and dog walks.
Freckleton Village provides much in the way of recreational activities and retail experiences, such as notable public houses, a sports and social club – home to a strong bowling club – and a library that hosts various groups including knitting, crafts and reading. The village also provides necessities such as a doctor’s surgery, pharmacies, restaurants & shops.
From Preston
We can be found by taking the A584 from Preston following signs for Lytham St Annes. Freckleton is just off the A584. Turn left into the village avoiding the Freckleton by-pass. Follow the road through the village for approximately a quarter of a mile. Lamaleach Drive is on the left and the Park is at the end of the road.
The village of Freckleton is situated just 2.5 miles from the popular coastal resort of Lytham St Annes with its many attractions such as Lytham Windmill, Lytham Hall, Royal Lytham St Annes Golf Club, Fairhaven lake, St Annes Pier, shops, cafes and much more.
From the M55
Leave the M55 at junction 3. Take the A585 towards Kirkham/Fleetwood. At the roundabout take the first exit onto Fleetwood Road (A585) Continue over the three roundabouts. At the end of the road turn left onto Blackpool Road (A583) Continue for about 2 miles. Turn right onto Freckleton Road, continuing onto Kirkham Road. At the end turn left onto the A584, continue for about a mile and turn onto Lamaleach Drive.
Every year in June the Freckleton community come together for Freckleton Club Day!
It consists of a parade around the village on the Saturday morning by the various church organisations, bands, schools, scouting association and May Queens. This is followed by a short service and presentation in the C of E School playground.
A fair is also held on the fields on Bush Lane. Various sporting activities are undertaken, both serious and for fun. The half marathon and Family Fun Run are held on the Sunday, as well as other fun sporting events.
The Freckleton Club Day is thought to have originated with the friendly societies in the early nineteenth century. The earliest documented mention appears in the proposals passed at a township meeting in May 1879 although it is thought festivities had already been going on for some twenty years.
The first Tuesday in December the village congregates around the Freckleton War Memorial for the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, with the band and school children performing Christmas Carols and switching on the Tree Lights.
The fun continues in Freckleton Village Hall where the children can see Santa and Mince Pies, Biscuits and Hot Drinks are available.
